Hove may appeal to families

Many people are attracted to the city of Brighton but the nearby town of Hove may be a better fit for those families looking to move to a location that is more subdued.

With just 91,000 residents and located in East Sussex, Hove is within easy commuting distance of London and has lots of benefits for households with children.

There are a number of great educational options in the area for those interested in property for sale in Hove, with varied primary schools, three high schools and a sixth-form college all offering options for families with children of all ages.

The transport links that connect Hove with the rest of the UK are also very attractive, with road and rail links to nearby Brighton and direct services from both of Hove's train stations to the centre of London.

Good leisure attractions are important for those planning to relocate. Hove's King Alfred Centre is a top class leisure centre, which includes a gym and a swimming pool, as well as a whole host of classes to raise the heart rate and improve fitness levels. It is also in a great location overlooking the local coastline.

People who prefer to watch their sport could be attracted to the famous Brighton and Hove Greyhound Stadium. There are races held every Thursday and Saturday evenings, Wednesday afternoons plus Friday and Sunday lunchtimes.

Culture vultures should also consider heading to Hove's TOM (The Old Market) venue. Recently refurbished, the TOM can hold around 300 to 500 people and hosts a real mix of events such as music concerts, live comedians, theatre and cabaret.  It is also a key venue in the annual Brighton Fringe Festival event.

Art fans moving the the area will be delighted by the Hove Museum and Art Gallery. The building was completely refurbished in 2003 using private and public money and is home to one of the largest collections of craft and film exhibits in the UK.ADNFCR-1222-ID-801838985-ADNFCR
