Hadleigh: Live in a peaceful ancient town

At the moment, with house prices sitting at low levels, there may
be an opportunity for people, especially those who have perhaps
reached retirement age, to take the plunge and try something
new.
A popular move for those in their twilight is to head towards the
countryside and rural homes that give them a quieter place to live
and spend their time.
These types of homes have previously been very expensive though,
but now the chance for some people to afford them may have
come.
If this is the sort of thing that you are looking for, then you
could certainly enjoy what you find when seeking out
property for sale in Hadleigh.
The dwelling itself is a market town located in Suffolk, between
two larger areas in Sudbury and Ipswich. It is comprised of less
than 3,000 residents, which makes it idyllic for people who are
trying to get away from the city for some much needed peace and
quiet in the countryside.
Being an ancient and historic town, Hadleigh is filled with old
architecture which is a wonder to behold. Some of the town dates
back as far as the 9th century, and there is a wide array of timber
and brick listed buildings still standing in the area for people to
peruse and learn a bit more about English history.
As well as this though, there are also numerous activities and
cultural events. Sporting enthusiasts may want to take up a new
pastime when living in Hadleigh, and will be pleased to know that
the town's bowls and cricket clubs are the oldest in the county of
Suffolk.
On top of this, there will also be the opportunity to get to know
some of the locals and indulge in the real rural way of living at
the biggest annual event Hadleigh has to offer.
The Hadleigh Show is the oldest agricultural show in the whole of
England, and it is a very much revered show. The first of these
events was held in 1840, and becoming a part of it will help
residents feel like they are very much integrated into the
community.
